Description of Organization & Responsibilities

HDP students have played an integral role at Reality Changers for several years. We value your contributions and the immediate impact that you have on our program.

Reality Changers prepares inner-city teenagers to become first generation college students. Many of our students have raised their GPAs from a 0.0 to a 3.5 and our program graduates have attended Harvard, Dartmouth, Northwestern, UCLA, and of course, UCSD (among dozens of other top-notch universities).

HDP students select one night per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays) to participate at one of our locations. Each program follows the same format: SAT Prep, family-style dinner, guest speaker, "Congress," and study time. HDP students actively participate in all aspects of the evening as mentors, coaches & tutors.

Reality Changers has an intricate partnership with UCSD's Academic Connections Summer Residential Program, as well. Reality Changers students who obtain a 3.5 GPA spend three weeks each summer on UCSD's campus taking college classes for college credit. HDP students will have a direct impact on whether many of the Reality Changers students can qualify for this life-changing college program.

We hope to have you join us.
