| Description of Organization & Responsibilities | The Reuben H. Fleet Science Center is a non-profit entity which seeks to inspire life-long learning by furthering the public's understanding and enjoyment of science and technology. The Fleet would like to have HDP 191 students perform exhibit or program evaluations. This would involve designing surveys, conducting visitor research, reading, and interpreting results. |

| Description of Organization & Responsibilities | Community Ophthalmology reaches out to the elderly people affected by Macular Degeneration and other eye diseases such as Cataract and Glaucoma. Its research program is focused on the well-being and patients' knowledge of their disease as well as their options for treatment. Students could be involved in any aspect of this program. |
| Testing Requirements | (1) TB test required (2) Availability on Saturdays (3) 2 quarter commitment (2nd quarter can be a 199 course) (4) Orientation Interview: Be sure to bring a copy of your academic history, a letter of statement explaining what you expect from your research project at the Shiley include your career goals, and a resume. |

| Description of Organization & Responsibilities | Community of Ophthalmology provides eye screening, eye exam and developmental assessment of children affected by refractive errors. Students could be involved in any of these three components. The research focuses on the prevalence of eye diseases, their impact on children's cognitive abilities and the effect of correction. |
