Pre-Human Development Requirements

As of 2001, students who wish to declare Human Development (HDP) as their major are required to fulfill the pre-major requirements and apply for entrance into the HDP major.

It is recommended that students who are working towards the completion of the HDP pre-major classes use TritonLink to declare HD01 - Pre-Human Development. This ensures receipt of relevant informational emails sent out by the HDP Student Affairs Office regarding curriculum changes and course information.

Students must keep the following pre-major restrictions in mind when selecting courses:

• HDP 1 must be taken in residence.
• All courses must be taken for a letter grade; pass grades are not accepted.
• All lower-division coursework must be completed with a grade of C or better; C- grades are not accepted.
• The GPA of the eight lower division courses must equal or exceed 2.75.

Students must fulfill all lower-division requirements before applying for the HD25 - Human Development major.
